The September workshop held virtually under the theme, “Governance and Institutional Reform for Sustainable Development.” At each of the prior Remaking Trade Project workshops, participants engaged in an evaluation of specific substantive policy initiatives to integrate sustainable development into the global trade system.  At this stage of the Project, we consider it essential to evaluate the necessary governance and institutional mechanisms needed to carry out the substantive reforms envisioned. Building on our preliminary framing session held at the WTO on June 12, this workshop centered on mapping the needed governance and institutional reforms.
