Engaging the Global South on Sustainable Industrialization and Agriculture

On 9 March, 2023, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) – comprising the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) and the Centre for WTO Studies (CWS) – hosted a national consultation in India, in collaboration with the Remaking Trade Project, to gauge local perspectives on the theme:  ‘Engaging the Global South on Sustainable Industrialization and Agriculture’. The Workshop brought together over 30 participants (from the academic, industry and policymaking communities) to discuss two topics relating to the sustainability and trade agenda in India: (1) Sustainable Industrialization and (2) Sustainable Agriculture. Each of the sessions was led by discussions among an esteemed panel, followed by an interactive discussion involving audience members.
